We are proud to highlight the achievements of UCSIA Summer School alumna Gillian Chu. Gillian participated in the UCSIA Summer School in 2019 and joined our workshop in 2023. She has recently shared exciting news about her latest academic endeavors.

Gillian has been named a Baptist Scholars International Roundtable (BSIR) Scholar, an esteemed recognition awarded by the Baptist Studies Center for Research at Baylor University. This honor highlights her contributions to the study of religion and theology. More details about this program can be found here.

Additionally, Gillian is now a Principal Investigator for a year-long, cross-disciplinary psychology and theology research project. This prestigious initiative is funded by the John Templeton Foundation and organized by the University of Birmingham. Her work explores the intersection of these two fields, contributing to a deeper understanding of their connections.
